The Studium aktoRstudio is an acting school of Roma Gąsiorowska established in 2012 and based in Warsaw. The two-year programme of training comprises the fundamentals of actor’s craft in the field of screen acting. The primary purpose of the course is arriving at the “stage truth”, overcoming camera-induced stress and helping students realize their own potential as well as creating versatile conditions for its development.
The aktoRstudio employs acting techniques of Stella Adler, Anton Chekhov, Konstantin Stanislavski, Jerzy Grotowski and Lee Strasberg.
We organize development workshops within the framework of the collaboration between the Studium aktoRstudio and W-arte!, aimed at improving presentation and public speaking skills in order to shape adequate body awareness allowing to overcome stage fright and handle stress, we assist in improving creative thinking, we provide an insight into the art of storytelling and the media content-reliant performance. We exercise a wide range of acting techniques and tested approaches, as well as the broad scope of knowledge of the lecturers representing the Studium aktoRstudio and other practitioners collaborating with W-arte!
The most talented students of the Studium aktoRstudio will be granted the opportunity to develop their own projects within all three W-arte!’s spheres of activity, honing them alongside our resident artists.
Gdynia Film School constitutes a modern educational project inspired by the most exceptional international institutions. The school trains and provides education to future directors, both in feature and documental spheres.
The workshop conducted by Roma Gąsiorowska, with Robert Gliński, Filip Marczewski and the Academy Award nominee Slawomir Fabicki – acclaimed filmmakers and pedagogues – launched the collaboration between the GFS and W-arte!, intended for the students of the GFS and the Studium aktoRstudio. To further the dialogue, the students of both institutions will exchange knowledge and experience as well as incorporate and apply the acquired skills into practice by shooting etudes and other audiovisual productions.
