The exhibition by Mariusz Gutowski in the space of W-arte Shop is a unique opportunity to take a closer look at the artist’s work, meeting and exchange of ideas.
Mariusz Gutowski is a painter and illustrator. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn in 2002-2007. He received a diploma with distinction in the painting studio of Professor Eugeniusz Geno Małkowski in 2007. Appreciated in the Kompas Sztuki ranking as a promising young artist. His works are in private and state collections.

You feel that you have a vocal talent but you do not know how to make the first steps in the music industry? Or maybe you dream about starting your band?
For all those who are at the beginning of their musical path and need a solid dose of motivation and inspiration, we have prepared a unique five-hour vocal workshop with Marika.
Marika, a very experienced entertainer and volcano of good energy, willingly shares with her participants her vocal and stage experience. The workshop will address techniques to enhance proper breathing, articulation, voice emission, work with a microphone, stage performance. You will also learn how to write a good song – you will learn the secrets of the songwriting workshop.
It will not be a dry, boring lecture, but a juicy handful of know-how and specific vocal exercises, tips and constructive comments.
NOTE: Each participant should prepare to sing a song.
Marika Marta Kosakowska is a Polish vocalist, songwriter, radio DJ. Her style is a mixture of reggae, dancehall, funk and soul music. Hailed the First Lady of Polish dancehall, she is best known for energetic shows, strong voice and conscious lyrics.
Marika has played hundreds of shows in clubs throughout the country and abroad. She supported artists such as Sean Paul, Missy Elliott, Macy Gray, Gentleman, Nas, Damian Marley, Julian Marley and Inner Circle.
As of 2013, Marika is the host of The Voice of Poland on TVP 2 channel.

Art Edu zone expands contacts and experience. We focus on talented young people, we give them the practice and the opportunity to confront ideas with mentors before they are implemented. This very much helps with jumping in the deep end of the of the experience.
Behind us is the third edition of the workshops, organized in cooperation with W-arte/aktoRstudio with Gdynia Film School. Very intensive two days workshops conducted under the supervision of Roma Gąsiorowska as a coach, between studium aktorstudio students and young directors of Gdynia Film School.

Marczewski, scenes were created with the participation of students and our graduates previously selected from our workoshop.

On Wednesday 14th March at 18:00, in the authorial space of Roma Gąsiorowska, W-Arte at ul. Łowickiej 56/3, Women’s meeting will be held.
The initiator of the event is Riya Sokół – author of texts, singer, mother and creator of the project “I’MPERFECT”, who travels around the world regularly, performing in concerts combined with lectures and workshops, working with people on their imagination about their imperfections.
The “I’mperfect” project aims to connect women around the world and teach them absolute self-acceptance, so that they can enjoy a full life.
This unusual event in a climatic tenement house in Old Mokotów will start with a concert, after which “non-perfect” women will go to the lecture and discussion panel with the guests.

Andrzej Pągowski, jeden z najwybitniejszych polskich grafików i plakacistów, obchodzi w 2017 roku 40-lecie pracy twórczej. Z tej okazji Mistrz organizuje wystawę w W-arte! Open Art Space przy ulicy Łowickiej 56/3. Ekspozycji wybranych prac z przekroju całej kariery Andrzeja Pągowskiego towarzyszyć będzie konkurs dla grafików.
Wielka kariera Andrzeja Pągowskiego rozpoczęła się od plakatu do spektaklu „Mąż i Żona” Aleksandra Fredry w reżyserii Adama Hanuszkiewicza wystawianego w Teatrze Narodowym w Warszawie. Praca z 1977 roku, pierwsza autorstwa Pągowskiego wydana drukiem, została nagrodzona brązowym medalem na VIII Międzynarodowym Biennale Grafiki Użytkowej w Brnie. Po czterdziestu latach od tego wydarzenia wspólnie z Mistrzem rzucamy rękawicę artystom grafikom. Tematem konkursu jest stworzenie plakatu do tej samej sztuki Aleksandra Fredry.
Wyniki konkursu zostaną ogłoszone 31 marca br. Autor zwycięskiej pracy wyłonionej przez Jury (którego pełny skład podamy wkrótce) otrzyma nagrodę pieniężną w wysokości 1500 zł a jego dzieło będzie eskponowane obok dzieł Andrzeja Pągowskiego w przestrzeni W-arte! począwszy od 7 kwietnia br, na kiedy planowany jest wernisaż wystawy z udziałem samego Mistrza.
Zainteresowanych wzięciem udziału w konkursie prosimy o zapoznanie się z załączonym Regulaminem Konkursu i pozostałymi załącznikami. Termin nadsyłania prac drogą elektroniczną upływa 26 marca 2017 roku.

ANDRZEJ PĄGOWSKI
Urodzony w 1953 roku. Absolwent Państwowej Wyższej Szkoły Sztuk Plastycznych w Poznaniu, Wydział Plakatu, dyplom u prof. Waldemara Świerzego. Jest autorem ponad 1200 plakatów wydanych drukiem od 1977 roku w Polsce i zagranicą. Ponadto zajmuje się ilustracją książkową i prasową, jest autorem okładek wydawnictw płytowych, scenografii teatralnych i telewizyjnych, scenariuszy filmów i teledysków. Uprawia malarstwo. Jest dyrektorem kreatywnym i właścicielem firmy KreacjaPro.
Od początku twórczości Pągowski był związany z polskim filmem, teatrem i sceną muzyczną. Stworzył kilkaset plakatów do filmów polskich. Wśród nich są tak ważne filmy jak „Człowiek z żelaza”, „Robotnicy’80”, „Przesłuchanie”, prawie wszystkie filmy młodego kina polskiego lat 80-tych, większość filmów Kieślowskiego, a także kultowy dziś „Miś” Barei oraz „Ryś” Tyma.
Pracował z prawie wszystkimi najwybitniejszymi reżyserami polskimi, takimi jak Wajda, Zanussi, Holland, Kieślowski, Polański, Skolimowski, Żuławski, Machulski, Kawalerowicz. Za swoje plakaty filmowe zdobywał liczne nagrody polskie i zagraniczne – w tym na Międzynarodowym Konkursie Plakatu Filmowego w Chicago oraz w Międzynarodowym Konkursie na Plakat Filmowy i Telewizyjny w Los Angeles, gdzie – obok kilku Złotych, Srebrnych i Brązowych Medali – otrzymał również nagrodę „The Best of Show” za plakat do filmu „Stan Strachu”. Jest autorem oprawy graficznej Festiwalu Filmowego w Gdyni oraz Festiwalu Camerimage w Łodzi.
Jego prace znajdują się w najsłynniejszych muzeach świata, między innymi w Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art w Nowym Jorku i San Francisco, w Centrum Pompidou w Paryżu, Stripped House Museum of Art w Tokio, Circulo de Bellans Artes w Madrycie, Poster Museum w Lahti, Muzeum Plakatu w Warszawie, w Muzeum Kinematografii w Łodzi znajduje się ponad 200 plakatów filmowych Pągowskiego. Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art. umieściło plakat „Uśmiech wilka” wśród 100 najważniejszych dzieł sztuki nowoczesnej.
