A private screening of “Noma: My Perfect Storm” combined with the discussion “Can Food Be Art?”
“Noma: My Perfect Storm” is a feature documentary of Pierre Deschamps, portraying René Redzepi, the head chef of the legendary Noma restaurant in Copenhagen and a visionary, whose innovative approach to local culinary traditions and national products have revolutionised the New Nordic Cuisine. The Noma restaurant four times took first place in “The San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best restaurants” composed by the prestigious Restaurant magazine.
The film about one of the world’s most renowned restaurants will prompt discussion “Can Food Be Art?”, with Bogusław Deptuła, a historian, art critic and the author of “Literatura od kuchni” as our host. His guests will reflect on the correlation between meal and a status of a work of art. Does chefs, who use luxury, as well as ordinary products to compose the most sophisticated meals and exacting taste become artists?
It will be the first meeting in the series of private shows organized by W-arte! in partnership with FILMS for FOOD.
