A pri­va­te scre­ening of “Noma: My Per­fect Storm” com­bi­ned with the discus­sion “Can Food Be Art?”

“Noma: My Per­fect Storm” is a featu­re docu­men­ta­ry of Pier­re Deschamps, por­tray­ing René Redze­pi, the head chef of the legen­da­ry Noma restau­rant in Copen­ha­gen and a visio­na­ry, who­se inno­va­ti­ve appro­ach to local culi­na­ry tra­di­tions and natio­nal pro­ducts have revo­lu­tio­ni­sed the New Nor­dic Cuisi­ne. The Noma restau­rant four times took first pla­ce in “The San Pel­le­gri­no World’s 50 Best restau­rants” com­po­sed by the pre­sti­gio­us Restau­rant maga­zi­ne.

The film abo­ut one of the world’s most renow­ned restau­rants will prompt discus­sion “Can Food Be Art?”, with Bogu­sław Dep­tu­ła, a histo­rian, art cri­tic and the author of “Lite­ra­tu­ra od kuch­ni” as our host. His guests will reflect on the cor­re­la­tion betwe­en meal and a sta­tus of a work of art. Does chefs, who use luxu­ry, as well as ordi­na­ry pro­ducts to com­po­se the most sophi­sti­ca­ted meals and exac­ting taste beco­me arti­sts?
